VillageMaster (VM) is a multi-platform application designed for retirement industry especially the retirement villages and residential care facilities. It is a software system combining the strength of Cloud services and the ubiquitous personal mobile devices to form a powerful system for managing an industry that constantly changing.

VM comprises of several modules to help you work with your village. These include:

  • Core module for processing contacts from initial inquiry through to residential settlement
  • Event module for managing activities and emergency evacuation (optional)
  • Repairs and maintenance for tracking all of your repairs (optional)
  • Survey module for creating powerful forms and questionnaires (optional)

Core Module

This is an essential module for VM operation. It comprises a server component and a client component as such the design is also known as client/server architecture.

The server component resides as a Cloud service managed by Microsoft Azure and the client component resides on desktop computers or mobile devices such as iPhone, iPads, Android and also Windows 10 desktop and tablets.

All data resides on the server. The client devices only have a small subset of data for caching purposes; this cache data is rebuilt each time a user logs in to the system. As such, you can operate VM from any devices without fearing of losing any data.

Event Module

VM manages activities for residents and the public in general with Event Module. You typically create an event and give it a name. This event is then associated with participants through self booking or registration via staff members. Tickets are issued so that this can be scanned at the entry point of an event.

Event module also supports emergency evacuations. You perform emergency evacuation such as fire drills and fire evacuations by creating a list of residents and visitors at the point of scanning. That is, the system creates the most recent list of residents and visitors when the first scan of a barcode is activated. You can then produce a report for the attending fire brigade when necessary.

Repairs & Maintenance Module

Use this module to keep track of your repairs and maintenance related to ILU, common areas, drive ways and other areas that may require repairs from time to time.

A request for maintenance job is normally initiated by a resident and then follow up by staff member for approval before submitting to a preferred supplier. This process is seamless when resident, staff and maintenance worker use mobile devices to keep up with the workflow.

VM also support a simpler way by using a more traditional method of keeping all repairs in the system and use Work Orders sent electronically for repairs.

Survey Module

Use this module to get feedback from customers. You design your own custom answer types such as yes/no/maybe, single or multiple selections, signature and image overlay.

A survey can auto-archive so that each time it is saved, a copy of the changes are logged so that you can track all changes from the beginning. Change log tracking such as this is normally applies to health checks and assessments but other use can include security and audit log.

This survey module can act as forms replacing the traditional paper version where customers and residents fill in forms such as care plan, privacy statements, health assessment and many questionnaires that you may need to keep in order to maintain customer care obligations.
